Privacy

What we collect

• Email address — required for account creation and magic-link sign-in. Signing in with Google gives us your name and email, nothing else from your Google account.
• Photos you submit — processed to identify and price the items in them. Full-resolution photos are discarded after processing; what we keep in your scan history is a small thumbnail plus the results (item names, prices, source links).
• Scan history — your results are kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically, unless you pin a scan to keep it. You can delete any scan yourself at any time.
• Anonymous free prices — if you price something without an account we record the job and your IP address solely to enforce the free limit (3 items every 30 days, per network). These records age out; they are not linked to any account you create later.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe; we never see your card number. We store a customer reference, your subscription tier, and a token ledger (when tokens were granted or spent).
• Session tally — the running total on the scan screen lives only in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and we can't see it.

How photos are processed

Item detection and identification run on AI models we host ourselves. To match a product and find prices, a cropped portion of your photo may be submitted to third-party visual-search and marketplace services (for example, eBay's image search) and item names are searched against marketplace and catalog data sources. These services receive the image region or search text needed to do the lookup — never your identity, email, or account details.

Who we share with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the processors that run the service: Stripe (payments), our hosting and content-delivery providers, our email delivery provider (sign-in links and receipts), and the lookup services described above. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

We use Google's advertising measurement tag (Google Ads) to understand whether our ads work — it records visits from ads and account signups in aggregate. It does not receive your photos, scan results, or email. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual scans in the app at any time. To delete your account and everything tied to it, use the in-app button: Account → Your data → Delete account. You can also download a copy of your data from the same place. If you'd rather do it by email, write to [email protected] from your account email — we'll confirm and remove it.

There is also a public account deletion page you can use without signing in or installing the app.

• Price×Point is operated by Axon Analytics LLC, a California company.
• The service is not directed at children under 13.
• If we materially change this policy we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, note it in the app.
